The proper way to hold your wine

Learning this is a must! You will not be considered a wine connoisseur if you are grabbing the glass incorrectly. The expert or proper way of holding and swirling your wine glass is the following. Number one rule is to hold all stem glasses (red,white, or other) from the stem. In the case of chilled white wines, this is even more important because if you grab it from the bowl you can heat up the wine and alter the taste.

As for the swirling, the only piece of advice you need to know is that you must rotate your wrist ONLY, not your whole arm.
